Goals

  • Deliver client-centric, comprehensive IT services and solutions
  • Foster an environment that rewards leadership, technical competency, innovation, creativity, financial prudence, and business relevance
  • Implement processes that encourage an increase in proactive service and a simultaneous decrease in the need for reactive service

 

Objectives

  • Implement formal change management across units within ESS
  • Implement a consistent incident management process across Administrative Technologies
  • Develop and publish a service portfolio and service catalog
  • Develop and publish a client-centric web site with content-rich self-service applications
  • Develop, staff, and open an Enterprise Service Desk
  • Integrate ITIL into the foundation of Enterprise Systems Support's operations
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive suite of client support communications tools (self-service incident management, Tech Chat, web site, tiered support, always-available 1st-level support)
  • Architect SharePoint for reliability, usability, distributed administration, and design standards
  • Architect SQL Server for high performance, availability, and scalability
  • Develop a comprehensive Service Continuity Plan
  • Develop a process for managing storage growth (file storage, e-mail storage, media storage)
  • Develop a formal Research and Development effort
  • Raise the maturity of line-of-business application support
